Thank you, Hahnfeld, Giordano, Cocanower Real Estate Services
Hahnfeld, Giordano, Cocanower Real Estate Services spear-headed and funded the reconstruction of the historic Monticello gate at W. 7th Street and Monticello Dr. HGC did a tremendous job in matching the brick and recreating the precast concrete trim. Please thank HGC representatives for assisting us in restoring this treasured feature in our neighborhood.
Traffic & Safety The City of Fort Worth is planning to take action on improvements for storm water drainage on Dorothy Lane North and South (adjacent to Monticello Park). This project is part of the 2004 Capital Improvements Program (CIP).
What is happening in my neighborhood? Due to undersized drainage systems built many years ago, a number of Fort Worth neighborhoods and roadways are subject to severe flooding during heavy rain events. City of Fort Worth engineers have analyzed the drainage history of your neighborhood and have concluded the drainage system is in need of improvements. These will help protect residents from flooding. The system improvements consists of installation of storm drains, curb inlets, box culverts and street pavement construction.
What impact will these improvements have on my neighborhood? The improvements will: 1) Minimize damage to your home from flooding. 2) Improve drainage and help control run-off.
Periodically storms produce excessive run-off that exceeds the capacity of the storm water drainage system. The improvements to the Dorothy Lane drainage system are designed to provide greater flood protection for your neighborhood. Upon completion of the project, the street and park will be fully restored to its original condition.
What impact will these improvements have on property values? Drainage improvements have no negative effect on your property value. All construction will occur on the public right-of-way or on Monticello Park.
What safety measures will be in place during the construction of this project? Barricades, fencing and warning signs will be installed to warn of potential hazards.
How long will construction last? Engineers are currently designing the project. The first phase of construction is expected to begin in early 2009. Construction is anticipated to be complete by summer 2009.
